Names darren, but hux will suffice and I'm from Cornwall.
Anyhoo been watching the likes of Lpl and Bosnian Bill for quite some time and finally decided to make a go of it.

Already picked a Master and Abus 55/30 that made me realize I need better picks and bars.
But I'm hooked, totally smitten with this art, and being bit of a recluse it's like the perfect hobby.

Welcome to the most rewarding/frustrating thing you could do with your spare time.

I myself found that since I've taken up Locksport I need fewer haircuts.

Joking aside, glad to have you on board. Great people on here with a world of knowledge and a patience.

You've found a good home.

Hi Hux :welc:

Have a read of the rules and a good look around. welc :06: welc

You've come to the right place for all things Locksport. :08:

Lots of friendly folk to help you along your journey. :88:

Ask loads of questions and post loads of pics. welc
You must always remember, it's the lock that chooses the pick, not you.

Cheers guys, oh I have no doubts I've found me a good home just need someone to show me the bar :86:
Won't be losing much hair, and what little I have is going grey, I'm kind of part badger in a way.

Chipped in a few quid into the coffeur, my way of saying thanks to Pickwizard for sorting out the email issues and getting me on here right before heading off for the night.
Lock wise got me a Squire SAL40 and Master 570 coming for that all important progression.
Wonder how much hair I'll be tearing out :D
My first set of picks was lock cowboy, actually seem half decent, but wth gone and bought a Petersons 0.025 hook 1 and 0.015 euro slender and some mad bob tension bars as tok spp was a mare with a tight and unforgiving keyway.

I wish I had a "welcome template" like some of the others here, saying to read the rules etc. Just do as they say! :)

There's a wealth of information on this forum and if you can't find what you're after just ask.

Don't be afraid of posting photos of locks you pick on the way as we all like pictures, no matter how easy they are to open. Everybody started somewhere and like seeing people progress. You don't have to pick a Medico to get a +1! In fact there's a whole thread on "What you didn't pick today"' :)

More than anything, have fun and keep it legal!

I think I've just written my first "welcome template"

Hi, Darren, welcome to the forum.
Please note that if we refer to Hux it's more likely we refer to member huxleypig than you.
But this will all sort it out in context.

Yeah I saw one of Lock Noob's videos that mentioned something like a disc detainer pick made by him.
But like you say, context will sort it out.
Mines an old nickname from years back.
