Hello from Kent. I am completely new to lockpicking it all came about when could’nt get the padlock off my garage due to losing the key, I broke the padlock off in the end. I then purchased a picking set from amazon which included a see through plastic padlock and although I have managed to open the see through padlock a few times I have as yet to be able to open a standard non see through padlock. However I now see this as a challenge and I intend to practice and with maybe some help from locksport will one day open a non see through padlock. Watch this space.

welc Hi Billy

You’re in the right place

Have a read of the newbies section as there’s some great information there as well as Solomon’s guide which is a must read for everyone.

Don’t be afraid to ask any questions and we love pictures of your gear n stuff, which is affectionately known as lock porn.

A lot of our members have YouTube channels so you might consider subbing to a few of them.

Welcome to the forum.

Feel free to post a picture of the lock you are having trouble with. It would give us/you and idea of how difficult that lock is.
Just so you dont get discouraged from not being able to get it open and it turns out to be a high rated lock.
