My first post to the group today.
New to locksport for only two weeks and continuing to building up some kit and get a feel for the group. By luck, I've managed to pick a few easy padlocks. I'm also using Lawlock picks and Southord too. I've made a few TOK tensioners from SS knife blades and today was my first dismantle and rebuild of a Yale rim lock. Unfortunaty I was unable to pick it, but I did rake it open. Not having a pin tray I made a quick make-do one using a plastic kitchen chopping board which worked a treat. Having lots of fun in this new hobby so far and eager to learn.

Lots of friendly folk to help you along your journey. :88:

Ask loads of questions and post loads of pics. welc
You must always remember, it's the lock that chooses the pick, not you.

Welcome to the group @Redkite . Seriously, picking locks is pretty much the most fun you can have with your trousers on and there are plenty of folks here who will give you all the help you need. Ask as many question and post as many pictures as you can. Whereabouts in the UK are you?

Thank you Michael. I’m in South Wales in the UK. Now retired from an engineering background, I’m pleased to have found this new hobby.

Next it's up to you really.

I would suggest taking a good read of Solomons guide as this is the best guide on the web (imo) :read2: :08: :
No matter what your skill set it's always a good piece of reference material to keep going back to.
