A subject like auto locksmithing is a very specialized area, as well as sensitive one. They're also not usually a subject that guys new to locksport are going to get into because of the availability of locks to practice on, and the huge expense in tools.
Knowledge of auto locksmithing can also be very attractive to guys with a malicious intent, and to discuss this in an open public forum can lead to accusations. Of course, the same can be said about regular locks, and we watch that aspect by keeping guidelines such as not picking locks in use and not picking a lock that we have no permission to.
Another point to raise is that we are into this for sport, which is unlikely to involve auto locks.
Same goes for bypass techniques, but also they don't involve any skill as such, and so I would also not consider it as a sport.
